Lymphoma News Today released an article today featuring Domina Law Group’s investigation into cases of farmers who developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma after exposure to the herbicide glyphosate. Glyphosate is the main ingredient in Monsanto’s weed killer product Roundup.
On July 29, 2015, The World Health Organization placed glyphosate on its list of substances that are “probably carcinogenic to humans,” but the chemical is still found in agricultural, industrial, and household products throughout the United States.
The article details Domina’s position that the demographic perhaps most at risk for glyphosate exposure is farm workers who may have experienced dermal exposure or exposure by inhalation.
“Claims against Monsanto for ‘Farmer’s Cancer’ have been many years in the making,” said Domina. “It has not been a matter of if, but rather when.”
Because of the July 29, 2015 announcement, the time Nebraska farmers have to file their case to recover for cancer may expire on July 29, 2016 or sooner.
