The Daily Yonder recently published an article featuring Attorney Dave Domina’s work on behalf of farmers who developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). The class action lawsuit alleges that Monsanto’s Roundup contains the ingredient glyphosate, which can cause this particular type of cancer.
The man who penned the article, Richard Oswald, describes Domina as, “a well-known guardian of underdog farmers and cattle feeders [who] has never shied away from pointing out inequities in seed and cattle markets.”
The World Health Organization recently designated glyphosate, Roundup’s main ingredient, as “probably carcinogenic to humans.” The product is widely used in the agriculture industry, and many are claiming that their exposure to glyphosate caused them to develop NHL.
NHL is a type of cancer that originates in the lymphatic system. Farmers who used Roundup and are experiencing symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes, fever, and stomach/chest pain should contact their doctors immediately.
Domina is no stranger to the agriculture industry. Having grown up on a farm, Domina is acutely aware of the struggles farmers face. He says that “a significant portion” of his professional life has been dedicated to fighting for those in this industry. Now, he continues that fight by standing up for farmers affected by Monsanto’s Roundup.
