Domina Law Group's landowner attorneys are proud to announce that a temporary injunction has been placed against TransCanada, which effectively puts a hold on eminent domain proceedings against Nebraska landowners for the Keystone XL pipeline.
After the Nebraska Supreme Court failed to act decisively on the LB 1161 constitutionality case last month, TransCanada began filing paperwork to begin eminent domain proceedings against Nebraska landowners. In a good turn of events for the landowners, a temporary injunction against TransCanada puts those proceedings on hold until the current lawsuits are resolved.
The injunction puts more pressure on TransCanada as well as the Nebraska Supreme Court to actually make a decision on the constitutionality of the oil giant's pipeline route permit.
