Today was the day Don Blank testified in the David Hergert impeachment trial. Mr. Blank was the man who ran against Mr. Hergert in the 2004 election- the election which Mr. Hergert is accused of manipulating to his advantage. According to Blank, Hergert's late reporting of campaign finances left Blank without enough time to request the same amount of funds. While Hergert's defense lawyers claim that Hergert misplaced the documents, Attorney David Domina representing the Nebraska legislature claimed that Hergert intentionally misreported election funds so that he could win the election.
